Alexandra Puryear

Alex began her FLEXX Fitness journey as a trainer in 2020 and became General Manager in 2022. She holds a degree in Health and Exercise Physiology from Ursinus College, where she served as Women’s Gymnastics Team Captain and earned All-American honors. Alex believes in progress over perfection and focuses on thoughtful programming, consistency, and sustainable habits. She creates personalized training plans that help clients feel confident, capable, and motivated. Outside the gym, Alex enjoys life with her husband Pat and their son Henry—spending time walking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.

Need general information about the gym or a specific event we have going on? Ask Alex! She has been with FLEXX since 2022, and as our assistant manager, Alex helps our clients and trainers to ensure things are running smoothly inside and outside of the gym. “My goal at FLEXX is to make everyone feel like family! It’s great to have clients arrive and leave with a smile on their faces!” Alex grew up in Falls Church and when she’s not at FLEXX, you can find her snowboarding the Rocky Mountains with her friends and family.

Assistant Manager

Ron is a senior trainer with a lifetime of athletic experience. A former collegiate tennis and gymnastics athlete at Old Dominion University, Ron has also trained in martial arts for decades, earning Master and Grandmaster distinctions and induction into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He owned and operated a martial arts academy and training facility for 15 years. Ron specializes in balance, falling, and personal safety. At 79, he remains active and enjoys riding his motorcycle and maintaining his health.

Ron Boykin

With over 10 years of experience, Ethan is a strength-focused personal trainer with a degree in Exercise Science. He has worked with athletes and individuals of all ages and abilities, emphasizing that strength is a lifelong skill everyone can build. Ethan specializes in kettlebell and barbell training, prioritizing proper form and safe progression. A competitive powerlifter and strongman, he brings passion and precision to every session. Outside the gym, Ethan enjoys hiking and attending live music events.

Ethan Beber

Keith is a highly experienced personal trainer with over 25 years in the fitness industry. He takes a holistic approach to training, combining strength, whole-food nutrition, and mindset to help clients build sustainable, long-term health. Keith is passionate about educating and empowering clients so they feel confident both in and out of the gym. When he’s not training, he enjoys baseball games, hiking, fishing, cooking healthy meals, and spending time with his family.

Keith Franus

Marshall holds a degree in Sports & Exercise Psychology from West Virginia University and has over 10 years of experience working with youth athletes, young adults, and older adults. He believes training should be individualized, with exercises selected based on each client’s specific goals and needs. Marshall enjoys studying the business and media side of sports, including broadcasting, contracts, and advertising, in addition to watching games.

Marshall Burke
