Colvin is a corporate finance advisor and investment banker in McLean with his own firm. Long hours and lots of travel (pre-Covid) with 3 teenage kids means always on the go but he loves being outdoor- fly fishing, shooting, walking his dogs, and golfing.
Colvin’s primary fitness goal is to fend off aging with lots of mobility, cardio and now strength training as cervical spine issues have been managed and kept at bay. His FLEXX trainer Keith partnered with Pany Nazari, a physical therapist with Cypress Physical Therapy to address Colvin’s physiological issues and get him back into the gym on a regular basis.
“A couple decades of travel and stress took its toll physically and FLEXX has been key to my rebuilding. Focused training with Keith, plus Pilates, physical therapy with Pany, and acupuncture on top of 7 days/week physical activity has brought me to the best shape I have been in for a long time. Being able to move without chronic pain is such a blessing! On top of the world these days! Looking forward to more outdoor boot camps for total body workouts to supplement my training with Keith. Keep trying new things...having a blast!
Colvin’s twin daughters are college students in Boston but spent their extra-long (thanks, COVID) winter break with FLEXX. Emma, who likes to watch Netflix but wants to be more active and Margot, who enjoys playing tennis, hiking and spending time with friends and family, have this to say about their training experience with Alex.
“Since I started training with Alex, I feel stronger and more comfortable doing different exercises. I also know now how to have a more proper form and what I have to work on to help build muscle and prevent back pain. I definitely feel stronger and can't wait to come back for the summer and continue!”
